Penel Orlieu, Bridgwater, TA6 3PG October 30th 2005 Dear GCCF, It has recently been brought to my attention that a Foreign White Female Cat THAIRANO ABIGAIL, owned by Mrs Celia Simpson of Shermese Siamese and bred by Mrs. Rosemary Bennett (deceased) has been incorrectly registered. I have been informed that in a show catalogue the sire of this cat was shown as Grand Champion Sharue Sun Prince, which is incorrect. The correct sire is Silverbreeze Phantasm. The female in question was given to me by Mrs Bennett to mate with Sun Prince, (deceased) however as she was very aggressive and flighty; the poor old soul was unable to mate her; nor I get her back into the queens quarters, I was forced to leave her to calm down for several hours before I managed to get her back into the pen. I returned her to Mrs Bennett unmated to my knowledge. However Mrs Bennett insisted that I provide a mating certificate as per the GCCF rules, and I under protest duly did this for her, but did inform her NO mating had taken place. A few days later Mrs Bennett advised me that the same female had come back into call and would I take her and back to try again. I had the exact same problem with her and my sun prince, called Mrs Bennet and we agreed that I would put her in with my Silverbreeze boy; I witnessed a mating the following day. I subsequently returned the queen with a correct mating certificate to Mrs Bennett, she was disappointed, but I explained that I was more concerned about the risk to my boy and that he was aged and a bit frail. I know Mrs Bennett was quite ill and not very “with it” at the time and can only assume she sent the wrong mating certificate (which I actually refused to give her initially, but she became very irate and told me I had to provide this.) Therefore the litter born on the 05/09/2002 have been incorrectly registered with the wrong sire; obviously the records and paperwork are wrong and must be amended immediately. I trust you will deal with this matter with great urgency as some of the resulting kittens may have been bred from already. A DNA test will of course prove the correct bloodline if necessary. I await your urgent response, and remain, Yours faithfully, siamese, incorrectly registered, foreign white
